CD-adapco's flagship product, STAR-CCM+ is a new-generation CFD solver code featuring multi-physics (internal to code, not coupled). Surface-wrapping and advanced automated meshing (creating either polyhedral or predominantly hexahedral volume meshes) enhance productivity and these approaches are fully supported in their native form by FieldView.
STAR-CD is well established as a general purpose solver for flow, thermal, and stress simulation. FieldView provides native support for the product's polyhedral elements as well as data from coupled physics, and multi-phase flows.
Whichever application you use, FieldView is the post-processor of choice. Its powerful capabilities and world-class visualization and presentation tools support and complement the advancements in STAR-CCM+ and STAR-CD, helping you make the most of your CFD investment.

Export and Interface Options
FieldView reads many common data and solver data formats. Many solvers also provide a comprehensive export to the FieldView Unstructured File (FV-UNS) file format. STAR-CCM+ provides a high-performance export to a multigrid FV-UNS file for use with FieldView Parallel.
