Convergent Science, Inc., a world leader in computational fluid dynamics
(CFD) software, was founded in 1997. The Convergent Science
headquarters are located in Madison, WI with additional locations in New
Braunfels, TX, and worldwide distribution.

CONVERGE™, is innovative CFD software that automates the meshing at
runtime with a perfectly orthogonal Cartesian mesh, eliminating the need
for a user-defined mesh. This combined with its Adaptive Mesh
Refinement technology allows for easy analysis of complex geometries
and moving boundaries. CONVERGE™ is also equipped with extremely
fast and efficient detailed chemistry, an extensive set of physical submodels, a genetic algorithm optimization module, and fully automated parallelization.

The partnership with Intelligent Light allows CONVERGE™ users to efficiently create high value images, animations, and interactive datasets from their reacting and non-reacting CFD simulations using the automation and accuracy of FieldView™.


Corvid Technologies

Corvid Technologies, headquartered in Mooresville, NC, specializes in the application of high-fidelity computational-physics tools to complex engineering problems in defense and motorsports. We apply our combination of proven in-house-developed computational techniques and indigenous high-performance-computing resources to provide our customers with the design solutions they need in a timely fashion. Our success is grounded in our capability to mine large volumes of computational results to gain insight into the physics of a problem and use these physics to identify design improvements.

Since its inception, Corvid has worked closely with Intelligent Light to improve the quality of these analyses. Corvid scientists and engineers rely on FieldView to interrogate results from high-resolution, three-dimensional CFD predictions and gain insight into how the flow physics can be tailored to improve vehicle design performance.

An integral part of this process is not just the capability to produce high-impact renderings of fluid flows, but the use of FieldView’s scripting and automation capabilities to produce such images with minimal user interaction, and to derive quantitative information from the computational results. These methodologies are developed and fine-tuned in close partnership with Intelligent Light personnel.

Flow Science's flagship software, FLOW-3D®, is a highly-accurate CFD software package that provides engineers valuable insight into a wide range of transient fluid flow and thermal processes. With state-of-the-art capabilities for modeling free-surface flows, FLOW-3D® is the ideal tool for research, design and optimization for many industrial applications.

Flow Science and Intelligent Light have cooperated for many years to enable FIELDVIEW users to visualize FLOW-3D® data files via a direct reader, combining the superior modeling capabilities of FLOW-3D® with the advanced post-processing capabilities of FIELDVIEW.


Reaction Engineering International

 Reaction Engineering International (REI) performs highly detailed CFD simulations of high temperature combustion systems involving advanced chemical kinetics, reacting particle-laden flows and complex geometries. Solving tough problems for our customers using advanced modeling and simulation is our core competency.

The NPARC Alliance is a partnership between the NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) and the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) dedicated to the establishment of a national, applications-oriented computational fluid dynamics (CFD) capability centered on the Wind-US CFD solver.



Pointwise is solving one of the top problems facing engineering analysts today: mesh generation for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other numerical simulations. Pointwise software is used by engineers and scientists to generate grids for CFD and other computational analyses. Pointwise is known for producing high quality grids, making analysis more reliable and accurate, and for their ability to work with imperfect Computer-Aided Design (CAD) geometry without requiring manual cleanup. Pointwise's native CAD readers can be used to read CAD geometry from its native format directly without using a CAD license.

Tetra Research Corporation

Tetra Research Corporation specializes in Loci/CHEM CFD development, support, and advanced applications. Loci/CHEM is a unique CFD tool used at NASA/MSFC and elsewhere for many different types of flow problems, including liquid and solid propulsion modeling, aerodynamics, launch simulations, and stage separation. CHEM provides formal second order accuracy on polyhedral meshes, scalability to thousands of processors, and advanced add-on modules for multi-physics capabilities: Eulerian and Lagrangian two phase flows, solid rocket motor ignition, moving body simulations (6 DOF) with articulating control surfaces, and conjugate heat transfer. We offer specialized code development, validation and application support, and general consulting for achieving enhanced productivity with Loci/CHEM. The software exports user specified solution variables to FieldView to help correlate integrated results (e.g., aerodynamic forces and moments) to detailed fluid dynamics visualization for an improved understanding of large scale system behavior.
