FieldView Parallel

FieldView Parallel lets you post-process multi-grid solutions on parallel compute systems. It supports both shared memory and clustered environments. Speed increases of 500 percent on eight CPUs are very attainable with commonly used operations. FieldView Parallel is available for systems from desktops to 64-processor HPC servers and beyond. All FieldView users can use the parallel capability on up to four processors in a single-system without additional license options.

The results from a 6-blade dataset are sampled onto a 4-blade dataset to see the numerical differences. Mixing is better with 6 blades. User expertise can evaluate the numerical data to meet design requirements.

Compare two datasets side by side, even datasets generated with completely different grids. Create functions that span two or more datasets. Use dataset differencing to:

Automate your post-processing:

  • Run FieldView in batch mode without an X-server—overnight, without screen saver security lockouts.
  • Use FieldView FVX to query minimum and maximum global and local valuses for scalar functions. Use with boundary, computational, coordinate, and iso-surfaces, and with streamline rakes.
  • Use PYTHON scripts and PYTHON-based codes, such as ModelCenter from Phoenix Integration.

2-d plot with 3-d data in interactive window

FieldView allows the use of 3-D data with 2-D plots simultaneously. The 2-D plot may be rescaled and repositioned within the graphics window. This allows the study of 2-D data (single or multiple plots) with full 3-D data at the same time for complete context. The plot window automatically updates during a transient sweep and may be recorded in an animation.

FieldView lets you combine 2-D plots with 3-D graphics in the same interactive window.
